  • What is Reformer Pilates?
While you’ve probably seen Pilates done on a mat, have you tried it on the reformer? Reformer Pilates is the Pilates method of movement done on the apparatus called the reformer. The reformer is designed with a system of springs that allow for more dynamic movements that can be made more accessible or challenging.
  • Which class should I start with?
We recommend you start with our CoreClassic class. While each class is different, this should give you a good feel for what a typical workout feels like. If you have physical restriction or limitations, however, we recommend stating with and introductory private session. Call or text 734-999-0372 or email, and we’ll get you scheduled!
  • What are the benefits of Reformer Pilates?
The benefits of reformer Pilates are endless, but some of our favorites are: · Tones & strengthens your body · Improves posture · Strengthens core · Improves overall flexibility · Alleviates back & neck pain · Encourages better mental health · Prevents injuries
  • What should I bring and wear?
We require non-slip socks be worn for all our classes, for both hygiene and safety. You are welcome to wear your own, but we also have these available for purchase in studio if you don’t already have a pair! And no need to wear anything specific; just make sure you dress in something you can move in!
  • What should I expect at my first class?
Plan on arriving to class 10 minutes early and checking in at the front desk. One our team members will show you everything you need to know. Enjoy 45 minutes of a total body workout!
  • I’ve never done Pilates; do you have beginner classes?
All of our classes are beginner friendly due to the variability of spring loads (you can make resistance easier or harder), and our instructors are more than happy to give you modifications if you need!
  • Can you accommodate prenatal clients?
Absolutely! We have many members who are moms and moms-to-be, and our owner Emily is certified in Pre- and Postnatal Pilates. Be sure to get your doctors approval and let your instructor know so they may offer any needed modifications. If you are in your second or third trimester - particularly if you have not done any strength training in your first trimester - we do recommend starting with a private session to ensure group classes would be a good fit. We can also cover recommended modifications with you so you better understand what you need to be aware of during group sessions. We will also have prenatal-friendly classes on the schedule soon - text us at 734.999.0372 to let us know you're interested, and we can let you know when these are live!
  • Do you offer classical Pilates classes?
Unfortunately, no, we are not a classical Pilates studio. Although all of our exercises are rooted in the classical method, our workouts incorporate many exercises that are not part of the classical routine.
  • Do you have any age requirements?
Nope! We do ask that our younger clients be at least 5’0” tall, but we’ve had clients as young as 14 participate in group classes. And our clients span from 14 to 79- so there really is no limit on who can participate on the reformer!
  • How can I book classes?
Ready to schedule your class? Choose from any class on our schedule, then create an account to reserve your spot!
  • The class I want to take is waitlisted; will I get into a class?
Don’t be afraid of the waitlist- it is very likely you will get into a waitlisted class! We cap our waitlist at 4 and usually clear the waitlists every week. You will receive a text if you have cleared the waitlist and will be automatically placed into the class. For more info on waitlists read How does the waitlist work down below.
  • How do I book more classes?
If you haven’t already downloaded it, we highly recommend installing the Wellness Living ‘Achieve’ app to your phone; this is the easiest way to book classes, cancel classes and manage your account - especially if you are frequently on the go.
  • I’m trying to book classes, and the app is asking me to make a purchase - what do I do?
If this is happening, please double check the following things: · make sure you don’t have a negative balance on your account, · make sure you have remaining visits for the month, and · make sure your membership is not suspended. If you are still having trouble with this, feel free to reach out to let us know - we’d be happy to troubleshoot!
  • Do I need to reserve classes in advance?
We highly recommend booking your classes at least a week in advance - and you can book up to 2 weeks in advance if you really have your life together :)
  • Do you offer private classes?
Yes! We are more than happy to help you schedule a private class, just send us an email or text to book.
  • Do you host private events?
Yes! We are happy to host groups for corporate, birthday, anniversary, bachelorettes, celebrations, etc… contact for more info.
  • How does the waitlist work?
We highly encourage you to waitlist for classes, as we tend to clear the vast majority of our waitlists every week. You will get a text message if you are moved into the class - and while you have no obligation to attend if a spot opens up within 10 hours of class, if you are moved into the class prior to that point, our standard cancellation policy does apply.
  • Can I waitlist for multiple classes on the same day?
We highly discourage this, as this often results in you getting into multiple classes, then being penalized for multiple late cancellations. Please choose the class that works best for your schedule; if you don’t clear the waitlist for that class and another class opens up, we will notify to let you know.
  • If I don’t get into a class, does that session get added back to my account?
    Yep - absolutely!
  • How do I view my remaining visits?
If you are using the Wellness Living Achieve app, click on your Profile in the right-hand corner, then select 'Purchases' - you should be able to view both your remaining sessions and your billing date. You should be able to view the same information in the web app, as well - just view your purchases, and you should be able to see the exact same thing.
  • What are your membership options?
We’re glad you asked! We offer multiple membership options to allow you to incorporate Pilates into your life no matter how busy you may be! Select from 4, 8, 12, or unlimited classes per month. The best part? All memberships are month-to-month, meaning you're never locked into a long-term contract.
  • Do you offer class packs?
Not ready for a membership? Yes! You may also purchase drop-in sessions or class packs. These may be purchased on our website, but are available at a discounted rate in studio for first-time clients. (These must be purchased after your first session to qualify for the discount.)
  • Do you offer student pricing?
Yes! We have a limited number of student memberships available each semester. These must be purchased in studio. We recommend booking an intro session to get started, then deciding on a good fit after your first class!
  • Do you offer pricing options for out of town clients?
If you are visiting for a short period of time, you can either choose to purchase a single month of membership or a class package, depending on which would work better for you. If you are visiting a current client, please inquire or have them inquire about guest passes - we offer these discounted sessions as a perk to our members and current package holders.
  • How do I make changes to my membership?
Send us a text or email and we’d be happy to help you with this.
  • What is your class cancellation policy?
If you are unable to make it to a class, we ask that you cancel a minimum of 10 hours in advance. Classes canceled within 10 hours of their start time will be forfeited - and an additional $8 penalty will be assessed. This policy serves a dual purpose: it ensures waitlisted clients have a better chance of being moved into a class (which is especially important being that we only have a limited number of reformers), and has the added benefit of helping you hold yourself accountable on days when your motivation is running low (we’ve been there).
  • What is your tardiness policy?
As a courtesy to our other members, your spot may be given to a drop-in client if you are more than 5 minutes late to class. To guarantee your spot, please text the studio number (or leave a voicemail) at 734.999.0372 to let us know you will be late to class. You are welcome to join late; we just ask that you notify us. That being said, we do ask that you arrive on time to class whenever possible, as it can be disruptive to other clients when you arrive late. Being on time also ensures you don't miss instructions on how to set up your reformer, which can vary from class to class.
  • I’d like to invite a guest - how do I book them into a class?
Send us a text or email with their name, contact info & preferred class day & time, and we’ll help set them up! If they are local to Ann Arbor, they can take advantage of our intro offer, and get their first session for just $10. If your guest is from out of town, you can purchase a guest pass for them - just send us an email or text, and we’d be happy to help you with this!
