If you’re in the Ann Arbor area and considering trying Pilates, I highly recommend Core Collective.  A friend had invited me to a class earlier this year, so I obliged but figured I’d be one and done. However, I got hooked, and it has turned into something I truly look forward to every week. This is the only workout class I’ve ever woken up early enough for to do a 6am class! I haven’t had an instructor that I don’t like. What I love about Core Collective is they’re accepting of everyone.  Every class I attend, it’s a mix of women, men, young, older, seasoned and beginners of all shapes and sizes. It’s super challenging but they give modifications, and you leave feeling so much better that you did it!

I started Pilates at Core Collective in June 2025. I was a total newbie and was welcomed graciously, provided with guidance to keep me safe. The space is very welcoming to everyone no matter your fitness level, experience, age, etc. I started going once a week and over time I started to attend classes 3-4 times a week. It’s become a place where I feel a part of the community. All the teachers are superb - I have too many favorites. Core Collective offers more than just Pilates classes but also a positive community to belong to, I absolutely love it and so happy I found it!

I thought of myself as someone who struggled with consistently working out, but Core Collective took me from having a hard time motivating myself to watch a YouTube exercise video to someone who consistently shows up for months on end now. There are so many good things to say about the studio, but my favorite parts are the clarity and friendliness of the instructors as well as the opportunities they offer for progressively getting stronger over time. I felt welcome there as a beginner and I feel welcome there having done 100 classes. I highly recommend!
